Cherry Blossoms in D.C.!

Here we are out in nature enjoying the gift from the Japanese that beautifully bloom every Spring. It is careful when out in the rugged elements of Mother nature not to spook the cherry blossoms. If you do you lose the chance to catch a rare glimpse of these rather aggressive plants in the environment. Cathleen displays the selfless technique of getting one of these rare photos by putting herself directly in harms way so you the viewer can enjoy such beauty. Thanks babes!

The Melting Pot!

Every year for Valentine's Day, Cathleen and I go the the Melting Pot to celebrate. This year was no different and we have become expert culinary chefs in the art of French fondue cooking. We always look forward to it as well as evading the check by exiting quickly after dessert is consumed. If you have not been there it is quite an experience. A warning never use the fork that you cook with as the fork you eat with. If you do you will have a permanant fork tatoo on your lip that will let others know where you have been to eat.
Apparently love is in the air...Lobster style!

A visit with Grams and Gramps!

I flew out to see my Grandparents in Bellvue, Ohio in March. If you know where this is in Ohio you certainly know Ohio very well or you have to much time on your hands and need to step way from the Atlas...S-l-o-w-l-y. It is always nice seeing them as well as other relatives as my visits have become much less frequent since I left Ohio. Look at that Italian home cooking my Grams has prepared. Emerill step aside Grams is in the kitchen!

Skiing at Whitetail in Hagerstown,MD!

Here I am at Whitail ski resort in Hagerstown. it was a good time and glad that I went when I did since the resort had to close a week later because of all the warm weather. It is actually a beautiful view and the vertical drop is one of the better ones in the area. Plenty of times up and down the slopes since during the week there are no lines at all. Come next year and we can go, it will be fun!

Mom and Dad still in D.C.

We had a tons of fun from just walking around the Mall area (be careful when referring to the Mall around Cathleen) to eating some very fresh fish at my favorite The Chart house down on the Potomac in Old town Alexandria. It was lots of fun and when a visit is fun it happens fast. We enjoyed it all.

Mom and Dad visit D.C.!

It was nice to have Mom and Dad come to visit us in the nations Capitol. I can't wait for them to come visit again. It was a much needed and welcomed visit. We went to the new Air and Space museum out at the Dulles airport, Eastern market, American history museum (Mom loved the Julia Childs exhibit), to name a few. Here they are to the left unveiling the new Washington monument. The picture to the right is a chance for you to see what happens behind the scenes to get one of these "award winning" pictures on-line. Cathleen is attempting to capture as much light as possible with the least wind resistance.Ha! Ha!

C-bus continued.....?!

Here is a picture of Lori and Ryan. Ryan is Staci's boyfriend and Lori is Ryan's sister as well as a college friend that I have known for several years. Lori recently had a story published in the Columbus Dispatch newspaper on her passion of teaching Yoga to children.
Nicely done!

A trip to Columbus (the college football mecca)!!!

Lots of things going on as well as "Major" computer issues. I had the chance to go back to Columbus in early March to see old friends and just hang out. I stayed to Staci and Ryan's house which is very close to a Gyro place. I miss the Land of the Buckeyes and always look forward to a trip to C-bus preferablly during the college footbal season. Here is a picture (on the left) of April and Staci. Staci is a good friend of mine as well as an ole' roomie. April her sister with a wedding scheduled in June with Chris (I can't wait). The picture to the right is Tara and Steph who I always enjoy visiting!
